YOUR VISIT

Some information for your visit...

House Opening Times

You are welcome to have a pre-show picnic before the performance. For evening performances beginning at 7.30pm, The Courtyard Bar and auditorium will be open from 6.00pm. For matinees when performances start at 2.30pm they will be open from 1.00pm.

The Courtyard Bar and Picnics

Please support our bar which will be selling prosecco, white and red wine (by the bottle and by the glass), draft and bottled beers, lager, cider and soft drinks. It’s much easier than carrying heavy bottles with your picnic and no glasses to wash up!

A bell will ring ten minutes before the performance is due to begin which will allow you time to clear away and for our Front of House staff to accommodate the rest of the audience.  Picnic tables will need to be dismantled to make room for other theatre-goers.

The Cricketers at 1 Church Rd, Steep, is offering a pizza delivery service to the Sotherington Barn so if you haven’t got time to put a picnic together ring 01730 261035 or email cricketersinnsteep@gmail.com to place your order and arrange a delivery time. The pizzas are all cooked in a wood-fired oven.

Madeleine’s Kitchen in Lavant Street offers a tailored picnic service; call or email them to discuss your requirements on 01730 260102 and madeleineskitchen@gmail.com

Seating

There is no formal seating. There are a few wooden chairs, some straw bales and tree trunks in the tent, or you are welcome to bring either rugs or low-backed picnic chairs.

 Parking

The car park is to the right once you have entered the Bedales gates, and you will be directed to it by a PSF usher. The space on the left in front of the Art and Design Building is reserved and we would ask you politely not to park here. Would Blue Badge holders please contact the organisers in advance on enquiriespsf@outlook.com

The Weather

The weather is, as we all know, very changeable; do make sure that you have suitable clothing so that the evening chill does not hamper your enjoyment of the show.

If the weather is very bad, the shows will go on unless there is thought to be a safety concern.  In the unlikely event of a cancellation you will be offered tickets for an alternative evening, subject to availability, or for next year’s Festival.
